Holistic Dog Food
With my great dane, Jay, getting older everyday (he’s nine and a half years old) I think more and more about the dog food that he’s eating. Noelle and I use a natural dog food at the moment, but as Jay’s health starts to decline, and he gets older we’ve been playing around with the idea of switching to a more holistic dog food that promotes the overall health of our dog. How does it work?
Probiotics and beet pulp which promote a healthy digestive tract. Lactobacillus Acidophilus helps to maintain the delicate balance of friendly bacteria in your dog’s intestines. Beet pulp is a great source of fiber, and unlike many other fiber sources, produces special components called short chain fatty acids which the good bacteria depend upon for food. Good digestive health should take strain off other areas of our dogs body! At least thats what I think.
