Faucet Outlet has an enormous selection of bathroom faucets for you and your space. The styles and designs are many, so they will definitely have something that will fit your color pallet and existing design. So, if you’re tired of the crappy faucet that the former owners put in your bathroom I mean come on, for a little more they could have actually found something with style you can update your space to your taste.

As a hobbyist metalworker I was extremely impressed when I saw Kathryn Hinton’s melting silverware. If Salvador Dali and Emeril Lagasse collaborated on a project, this would be it. Definitly, very cool.
Follow the link above to view more of Kathryn’s portfolio.

So, I’m pretty out of touch and had no idea that there are so many MP3 players on the market. It does make sense, but all I ever hear about is the iPod. When I checked out Buy.com and saw their MP3 player selection I was slightly surprised and hoped that these other manufacturers were giving the iPod a run for it’s money.

If you didn’t get the humor, I don’t think that Ikea would ever make an MDF coffin. Well, maybe they wouldn’t. I found this idea over at PAN-DAN and it can be purchased at Things That Fall. PAN-DAN totally had me going on this post, but maybe I could see Ikea making an MDF coffin if there was a market. DIY - $27.50 shipped (some assembly required)

Earlier today I wrote a post about diet pills and I’m not too sure I like taking a pill to lose weight. I am ok with people using weight equipment to keep themselves in shape, within reason. Lots of people get way into weight lifting and make beekcakes out of themselves. That’s a bit too far in my book, but still better than pills.

Maybe carving isn’t quite the right term, but I am hand planing bokken for members of my dojo at my work shop. I must say it’s a satisfying process, to take a hunk of wood and refine it by hand into a well balanced training tool.

This image shows the large plank of white oak that I picked up in Greenfield, MA. I traced out the outline of four bokken and cut them into bokken blanks (shown below).

After planing for two to three hours the bokken has taken shape, with a prominent taper, well shaped mune, and close to proper balance. Below you can see a side by side comparison between the original bokken and one in progress.

Stay tune for a sanded and refined update soon.

This is an issue that really puts me on the fence, drugs like Fenphedra are widely used and people seem to get results from them. But, the how of why the work really puts me off. Diet aids usually trip your body into thinking it’s full. I bet a little will power could do the same thing.

My sister-in-law lives in Boston and has been sharing a very small apartment with a friend of hers. The lease came up for renewal and they debated staying in the small space or trying to find a bigger place with another friend. The decision was made, move on… and they crossed their fingers. Housing in Boston is very expensive and hard to come by, that is if your particular in wanting a rodent/bug free place to call home. As luck would have it they scored a great place, it’s huge and super clean. Anyhow she came home last weekend to “tag sale”, after living in such a small place they need more than a few things. Although she had a late start to the day she managed to get some pretty cheap/cool things. A really nice table, lamp shades, glasses, and a blender…for a buck! Anyway we are excited for her but hoping that this will be the last move for a while. It’s the 2nd apartment in a row on the 3rd floor, not so fun when it’s moving time.
