Who’s eligible?
I think this is an important question to ask before signing up for anything where you might be able to be entered into a contest. Especially when you might not be able to be entered in the contest that got you to purchase a new internet plan. So, here’s the eligibility rules from Charter:
This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the contiguous United States, who live in a Charter Communications serviceable area (excluding NY) and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. You need not be present to win. Employees (and their immediate families or those living in the same household) of Sponsor (as identified below) and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, parent and related companies, suppliers, printers and advertising, promotional and judging agencies are not eligible to enter or win.
So…
If I was a college student moving to a new area looking for internet service I would definitely check out the Charter deal, and maybe win a free laptop in the process. Charter is giving away thirty laptops starting September 1st. You need internet access anyway and now you might actually get a little back for being a valued customer.
