I’ve still been seeing quite a few commercials and advertisements peddlingweight loss pills, and I have to say that there must be a better, healthier way to get in shape and lose weight. Maybe a little exercise, or a balanced diet could make a huge difference in how people approach their health and weight.

I have to admit I can do my fair share of watching the television. One channel I just discovered is the Planet Green channel. This channel is great! With the premise of course, being green living it offers an array of programs ranging from cooking shows to waste management to green products and so on. If anyone is interested in learning more about “green living” this channel really does have a lot to offer.

Yesterday I was up at Dharma Boutique working with Adam, and he showed me his new, 2GB flash memory drives. They were extremely inexpensive, and have about ten times the storage capacity as my three year old flash drive. I was impressed at such a deal and plan on getting a larger one for myself.

This last month I’ve seen a spike in sales of all my Otis products, like the Haley 110 and Moonshadow futon mattresses. It’s not too hard to see why, I have great prices, Otis ships fast and the come with ten yaer warranties. Sounds great right? Head on over to Goodnight Moon Futon to see if you can’t find a deal on an Otis Bed Product, and remember we also offer a price match option if you do find it cheaper anywhere else.

Once again Vista Print is doing it again, and that’s giving you a great deal on an already great product. This time Vista Print is offering 25% off their photo calendar options.
How do you get this awesome option?
Simple, Vista Print is giving out a code “o67592fklv” for 25% Off Wall Calendars. Once you’ve entered your calender in in the cart, cut and paste this code to take 25% off your order.
As a long time Vista Print customer, I really enjoy passing on the sale info to others. Vista Print makes some of the most affordable business goods available on the market today, in my opinion anyway. And, just because Vista Print has some of the best prices doesn’t mean they skimped on quality. In fact, earlier this year I went to a furniture convention and was in need of an extra set of cards for my business partner who was attending with me. I ordered a small set of cards from Vista Print, had them overnighted and I was blown away by the fact that their cards were way better than my local printers at a fraction of the price. I’ve been a customer ever since.
But, that’s Vista print for you, great products at great prices.

There isn’t anything better than getting handcrafted, sometimes one of a kind pieces crafted by local artists. Here in the Pioneer Valley there is an abundance of artists, by now thanx to the world wide web we have access to artists from all over the country, even the world. One site I like to check out is www.renegadecraft.com, here you will find quite a collection of artists from all over the country. Take a few minutes and see how you like it.

One of the mechanical wonders that often gets overlooked are ball bearings. Most people don’t think about them and those that do usually do only when theres a problem. If you get the chance, read up on how bearings work and what they do for your everyday life.

I hate it when I get calls from telephone numbers that come up unknown name and number or private. I run a futon business, and at least several times a day I get calls that don’t register with my caller id. If I’m away from my desk that is potentially a lost sale, which can hurt my bottom line. I did just find a company called Phone Info Tracer, however, that will remedy the problem. Phone Info Tracer allows you to lookup almost any number within the US. They also perform reverse lookups from telephone numbers, allowing businesses one more method to confirm customer info. Oh yeah, all searches are anonymous, so no one is ever notified about your search.

We are looking for a different countertop for our kitchen cabinets. I have no idea what is on there now but it’s pretty gross! My wife was looking on ebay to see if she could find anything either used or non-traditional. She came across a man who was selling a kitchen cabinet set (it was huge) and the stainless steel countertop that was on all of the different cabinet pieces. In addition he was selling a few sets of beautifully crafted interior french doors and an interior elevator from the 1940’s. The quality and workmanship that went into crafting these pieces are a rare find these days! So…always the inquisitive one my wife asked where these pieces came from. She was told that they came from a 1907 mansion in New Jersey that was scheduled for demo this week. She replied by saying that the pictures depicted a home in tremendous condition, so what was the deal? The man replied that the owner was ripping it down to build a smaller more energy efficient home. What?! First off it is great to think about the environment and your pocket, but destroying something to rebuild… I don’t really get it. In addition, what was being destroyed was a piece of history, from a time when quality and craftsmanship reigned. The home and all the workmanship found in it is irreplaceable. What do you guys think?

Often in ones life, a simple card can be overlooked and tossed aside. But, to those in a bad place, like the terminally ill, lonely, or even someone who’s just down a card can really turn the day around. The reason I bring this up in a post on the blog is because I just read a little info about the donation of Holiday cards from GalleryCollection.com to the Texas Children’s Hospital. I found this to be a great gesture, and know it can make a big difference in someones day.
When I was younger my older sister, Courtney, was terminally ill with Leukemia. She was in the hospital a lot, and lets just say that the rooms weren’t much to look at. But, there were times that her days would be brighter, and I think that a nice card from anyone who cares might have lifted her spirits.
So, if you are thinking about doing the whole Christmas card thing this year GalleryCollection.com is into the whole racket, from personal cards to Corporate Christmas Cards. I posted an image of my favorite card in the post, I felt the snowflake card to be classy but not over the top.
