What’s important to you in a futon?

When most of my customers are looking for a futon, usually they’re most concerned about two factors : Cost & Quality. At the same time, in this economy, most people are trying to save as much as possible in all their purchases. So, lets take a look at what what you get with “Cost” and “Quality” in the futon market.

Cost :

  • When most customers are looking at futon frames, mattresses, or platform beds based on cost, they’re usually trying to get a lower priced futon.
  • Lower priced futons usually sacrifice finer details the higher priced futons include. Features like finish options, wood choices, and futon longevity are all effected by the cost.
  • While lower cost futons do sacrifice some on quality, lower priced futons are great for college kids, or first time renters. The isn’t much sense in buying a futon that you won’t end up keeping once you’re out of the dorm. So, they’re the perfect starter futon.

Quality :

  • Higher quality futons usually provide a better end result. They last longer, provide more support, and are generally considered real furniture which is made for more than your friends to crash on.
  • Higher quality generally means higher price. In today’s economy this can be a tall order.

So, while you’re shopping for a new futon, consider what your needs are, how long you want to use the futon, and what you’re budget is. Once you figure that out, you’ll find a wide variety in the futon market that will fit all our needs.
