For a while now, Noelle and I have been quite disappointed with our morning coffee. Often we find it bland and unsatisfying. Today I had enough and decided to take a look at new coffee makers from Cuisinart, Bunn and Capresso. They all looked like a huge improvement over my old, beat up coffee maker. Maybe I’ll be upgrading soon!

Today we live in a world of information, if you didn’t realize that fun fact head back to your cabin and hide out! Well, in the world of all things futon related I’ve seen two schools of thought from a retail perspective.
1. Give every bit of information you can about the manufacturer, materials, reviews, etc.
or
2. Give very few details in an effort to prevent the consumer from cross shopping.
Now, I can see the benefit of both lines of selling. Or, at least before the age of internet shopping. Often retailers use the same images and product names are rarely private labeled unless required by the manufacturer. Trying to hide information from the consumer usually only sows the seeds of distrust and they often go with a more transparent retailer. So, if you sell online don’t hide things from your customers (I’m looking at you Former Employers), they’ll just find the info online somewhere else. People aren’t stupid after all.

After reading info on a few websites, I’ve come to understand that an unlocked phone is a cell phone that can be used with various GSM-compatible carriers worldwide. That means an unlocked cellphone can be used within United States with T-Mobile, Cingular/AT&T, etc.
What I don’t understand is why this isn’t just the norm, and why manufacturers don’t just offer phones that work in this manner anyway?

One issue that most futon buyers don’t think about until their futon frame and mattress are on site is futon gripper strip pads. Often futon mattresses can be made from high density foams that want to force the mattress back to a flat position. This makes a futon mattress a bit “slippery” on a futon frame and can be a hassle.
But, never fear, all is not lost!
With a pair futon grip strips your mattress will be given the friction it needs to stay in place and cut down on adjustments to the futon mattress position.

If you plan to travel in an RV this summer, and you’re worried about how well your transportation will hold up under extreme conditions you need to look into an extended service plan. I know it’s not quite as pleasing to think about as wide open vistas and starry skies, but neither is being stuck on the side of the road in an overheated RV.

Well, maybe it’s not the most creative listing, but it did bring a smile to my morning. Enjoy-
Hi, I’m a sexy, voluptuous caucasian futon mattress. I’ve got a little extra padding in just the right places. I’m practically brand new. I’ve barely been used. You think I’d be happy, right? Well I’m not. I’m sick of being clean and pure. My prudish owner has barely even slept on me. There’s never been any overnight visitors, no casual encounters. My full-sized frame has yet to discover the touch of two bodies intertwined in sinful acts of carnal pleasure. I yearn for more. My owner has gingerly sat on me and watched enough episodes of Sex in the City for me to realize all the unbelievably wild fun I’m missing out on. I want to be pounded. I want owners who will get it on hot and heavy several times a week, right on top of me. I want to get slammed repeatedly against the wall in the throes of their intense passion. I want to soak up their sweat. I want to muffle their cries of ecstasy. Instead I’ve got the virgin mary herself practically levitating above me. My thick foam layers are crying out for pressure. My woolen insides are craving the compression that results from love’s sweet consummation. Alas, there’s no chance of me finding true sexual fulfillment while I’m being held ransom in this veritable convent of an apartment. But there’s hope. For somewhere in the neighborhood of a hundred bucks you can liberate me. I can be yours. I will cater to your every need. I can help you fulfill your naughty nocturnal fantasies. I want you to take me now. Hold me. Lift me in your strong arms. Carry me home. Take advantage of me. I’m luscious and malleable. I will melt in your hands. I will fit in your car. Unless you drive one of those mini-cooper matchbox vehicles that requires visiting a voodoo witch doctor to get your head-shrunk before you can drive around in it. You people know who you are. I’ve seen you zoom past the windows of my prison cell in your micromachines, on your way to some shindig or other at barbie’s malibu dream house. You freaks need not apply. Everyone else: So what are you waiting for? Send me an email. You can come see me. You can have me. You won’t regret it. Sweet dreams await . . .

Everywhere I turn I see ads for the perfect diet supplement, but what does it all really mean? Before my shodan test in aikido I was working out and training non-stop for, oh, about a year. I stopped drinking and before I knew it dropped fifteen pounds! So, it all got me thinking, what’s best, natural or substances?
I’d love to hear your experiences with either method!

I think everyone has seen and heard advertisements making the claim like the one shown here, right? Usually some model is looking at a computer, very excitedly, with a dollar amount thrown into the mix from the king of the internet, Google. Still with me? Good.
Everyone of those ad’s seem truly promising, who wouldn’t want free money from Google, or Yahoo, or any other internet mogul? Usually people build their networks, and post ad units from Google or one of the big search providers, but the trick is figuring out how to get your website visitors to click on your ad units. Site’s like the one advertised above claim to be able to make that happen for you. I’m not sure how effective their strategies are, but I know I’m going to check them out to try to get a few pointers.
You might want to do the same, click above for more info!.

If you are and don’t want to do it the old fashioned way, check out some of the phenphedrine review pages online. Personally I don’t think there’s anything a person can’t accomplish with diet and exercise, but check out that link if you’re looking for another option.

Some of you may have already seen the article in the Washington Post article, “Purity of Federal ‘Organic’ Label is Questioned. If you haven’t, read the article and then check out this letter being sent out by Christine Bushway calling for bloggers to get on board to support the great organic products we all love.
| By now many of you have read the Washington Post article, “Purity of Federal ‘Organic’ Label is Questioned,” published July 3, 2009. This article, which is being picked up in other print and online publications, focused on old news and urban legends and chose to reinforce rhetoric that is not only inaccurate but serves a narrow agenda whose motivations went unquestioned in the article |

|
OTA, on behalf of its members, immediately refuted the Post article with a full media alert. OTA has contacted the top editors at the Washington Post directly and worked through the holiday weekend to get our message out in the blogosphere and on-line derivative coverage. The Washington Post article was published in the Los Angeles Times, was the second most read article on the Nation section of the Post web site, the most e-mailed article on the Post web site, and author Kimberly Kindy has been hitting the radio circuit doing interviews.
This is a serious attack on the integrity of organic farmers and processors and has resulted in consumer mistrust of organic products. The Post article generated over 200 comments to their website with a dizzying array of primarily negative reactions. If ever there were a time for the industry to rally together, now is that time. OTA will keep the membership apprised of its actions to counter this attack, and will alert you to ways you can help.
Currently there is unprecedented opportunity to further the development of organic agriculture worldwide, for the betterment of the planet and our collective futures. For instance in the United States, we are seeing support from the Obama Administration with key appointments at USDA filled by those who understand organic agriculture and with increased organic funding that will reach historic levels in this year’s budget appropriations. In addition, consumers, despite a tough economy, continue to support organic and value its place in a healthy future. This should be a time to expand the demand for organic products and move the industry forward in a positive direction.
However, this opportunity is now also at significant risk.
The “circular firing squad” that exists within the organic community is destructive. It is counterproductive for industry organizations to pit one “type of organic” against another, and a fallacy to believe that airing these internal battles will achieve anything but a discrediting of the value of organic agriculture and products overall. If anything, it provides further fodder for opportunistic negative journalism.
Every time we engage destructive tactics, or support those that do, we only confuse policy makers and reduce the likelihood of much-needed government support for organic agriculture. Mixed messages force officials to move on to issues and agendas from industries that have clear goals and asks. We also confuse the consumers who are looking earnestly to make good choices for their families and the environment, particularly during this time of heightened price consciousness.
Who wins when we point fingers at each other? I predict it won’t be anyone within the organic sector, including consumers.
I ask you, now more than ever, to get behind your trade association and speak with one voice about the integrity and benefits of organic agriculture and products. Let’s all take the big view and higher road in the months to come. It is critical to the future of our industry.
