It might be nice to save a tree?

This year, I think I might push for an artificial christmas tree. I know it’s not as traditional but after watching the tractor trailer trucks filled with fresh cut trees headed south to NYC, I feel a little sad about all the trees that get killed in order for us to have that warm feeling in our lives. So, this might be the year of the artificial Christmas Tree in my house!

Black Friday is in Full Swing!

Hopefully everyone is having a good Black Friday, finding deals and enjoying the shopping experience. So far, no one has been trampled at any stores and things seem a bit more organized this year. Personally, I don’t get into Holiday shopping, especially since I can buy anything I want from the comfort of my own home!

For those of you out shopping today, try not to be consumed by being a consumer!

Mobile Homes

Today I was sent a link for to a manufacturer or mobile and manufactured homes. Though I prefer something a little more traditional myself, I can see how an $18,000 price tag for a home must be appealing. That’s for a brand new, well, house. Of course, that doesn’t include association fees or utilities, but it’s still now to shabby.

Happy Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving Dinner

Even though I’m a vegetarian (mostly) I still have fond memories of Thanksgiving Turkey Dinners. That’s why I dug up a nice image from the web to share with my site visitors.

Happy Turkey Day Everyone!

Metal Buildings

metal building

A few years ago I was thinking about setting up a workshop and storage space on my property, so naturally I put some thought into metal buildings. After running in a 20,000 sq/ft facility, I was impressed by how versatile a metal building really is. Follow the link above to learn a little more about metal buildings today.

Holiday Shopping Craziness

Zombie Shoppers

If you take a look at the two images above you may notice a similarity between Black Friday Holiday Shoppers and zombies. Both sets have a single minded determination, travel in packs, overwhelm authorities, and bring chaos where ever they go. Last year you might remember that a couple people were trampled to death at a Walmart by the massing hoards, so if you plan on shopping this Black Friday try to be careful.

Which do you think is worse, when shoppers or zombies lose their humanity?

After our holiday meals, many people put on a few pounds. For those of you who do, and can’t seem to shed the extra holiday weight, you might need some weight loss pills. That, or a gym membership!

Futon frame assembly

Here’s a great video that shows the assembly process of most futon frames. This is a decent video with some good details, so if you’re having any trouble with your new futon frame, watch this video.

Travel Deals

On this cold and dreary day in Massachusetts I find my mind wandering a but to warmer destinations. This tends to be a waste of time on my part, since I couldn’t afford any traveling at the moment. But when I see Caribbean or orlando vacations deals online, I makes me wish for a little warmth again!
