Medical Tourism
I’m not sure what’s up, but over the past month or so I’ve heard a few stories about medical tourism. What does that say for the US system of medicine, when it costs less for people to travel to India for dental work or it’s more appealing to get weight loss surgery Mexico? Some would think, and I’d hope that it just says the quality of medical procedures in the US is of a higher standard. But, after speaking with several friend who found it less expensive to fly across the Pacific and then get surgery, quality wasn’t the issue.
