A few years ago I came across a company in Pennsylvania producing a number of designs for dinnerware made of post-industrial/ pre-consumer recycled glass, here in the United States. Some people hear the word “recycled” and immediately think of some crunchy, cheesy looking object. The collections put out by this company are wonderfully elegant. One might never think that “recycled” could be so beautiful. Now 2 years later I am happy to see their products on various websites and specialty stores all over the United States.

There are two types of king size futon mattress on the market today, eastern and western king. Eastern king size futons are 78″x80″ and western king futons are 72″x 84″. All cotton futon mattresses have been around forever, they remain a staple of the futon world and will for the foreseeable future. All cotton futon mattresses tend to wear more quickly than HD futon mattresses, cotton batting will change much faster than foam.
So, if you’re a traditionalist about you futon mattresses stick to all cotton, it’ll feel the way you remember and give you exactly what you want.
The Visco Plush Futon Mattress is the perfect blend of memory foam, high density foam and natural cotton fiber. A medium firm futon mattress, the soft memory foam is balanced by the firm, precompressed cotton and the high density foam.
If you tried to replicate the sceen above with an old innerspring mattress, that baby would be in trouble. Just another reason the futon mattresses are better.
The two guys in the video could have benefited from a little planning before they tried to move their futon mattress. It doesn’t even look like they used a bag or anything to protect their mattress. Yuck.
Ok, I don’t know if it was that bad, I grew up in northern Vermont so I don’t tend to think the snow is that bad but we did get a good covering of snow last night. Over a foot to be precise. What does this have to do with futons? Not much except, I was warm and toasty in my futon bed last night.
