Writing Table with a Twist

Writing Table 4

The Writing Table by Martin Sammer is one of the coolest concepts I’ve seen in furniture for some time. Anyone can make a table, but if you can make one that’s interactive and a whole lot of fun you’re really on to something! I also think it looks pretty damn good as well.

Via Martin Sammer:

schreibtisch “aka writingtable”
A mobile notepad-furniture consisting out of paper. The die-cut paper-sheets (about 1000) are joined together with (red pigmented) bookbinder-glue, leaving out the Handle (for a intuitive detaching function of each sheet)The object works as communication tool, sketch-board, notepad…

The ‘writing table’ has been awarded with a Commerzbank Design-prize.

One of my pet peeve’s

One of my pet peeves has to be the whole diet pill craze, like the ephedra pills one that’s swept through the nation. I much rather prefer good diet and exercise to a pill (instant gratification) method of weight loss. But, that’s just my two cents.

Transfomer Shelf

At first glance the Transformer Shelf by Martin Sammer doesn’t look that special. But when you open it up, the whole concept takes on a new radical twist.

Via Martin Sammer:

The design of this object allows to participate in the evolution of its shape. By using the TRANSFORMER-SHELF you will constantly rearrange the different units towards each other, creating myriad different shapes. This will have an influence on your impression of the object, the cognition of the surrounding room and the way you identify yourself with the Object. Everybody can put his own ideas into the Object. In the end, the design becomes a process that will be partly submitted to the CONSUMER, who will also partly become a shape-PRODUCER, and therefore a Design-PROSUMER’.

What the heck is Nespresso?

Nespresso Coffee Machine

If we all learn something everyday, today was my day to learn about nespresso coffee machines. Nespresso coffee, espresso and cappuccino machines looks fantastic. I bet they brew a mean cup of coffee, the perfect way to start your day.

Did you remember to set your clock back?

Today, Sunday the 2nd, is the day that everyone falls back. Hopefully you all remembered to set your clocks back one hour, not doing so could have been a real drag in the following ways:

-If you’re a church goer you might have had a long, cold wait in the car.
-You might have shown up early for work! A terrible prospect, especially at my last job. Well, since we were under staffed there was always something to do.
-Worst of all, you might not have gotten that extra hour in bed.

Happy day light savings everyone.

:)

Change of Latitude Anyone?

With winter fast approaching I’m sure that many people in the North East are dreaming southern dreams. Warmer temps combine with lower living expenses to make Wilmington NC real estate even more appeasing. If you’re interested in hearing more, head on over to Sea Coast Realty to see if you’re dream property is waiting.

October Best Sellers

I am very pleased to say that even in an economic downturn, I am still having strong sales of my best selling futon frames and mattresses. Two such items are the KD Lounger and Savannah futon frames.

KD Savannah Futon Frame

KD Frames Savannah Futon Frame

KD Frames KD Lounger

KD Frames KD Lounger Futon Frame

Both futon frames are under $200 which includes shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states. Thus, they’re two of my best sellers.

Does it really work?

I see so many commercials touting the so called best acne treatment on the market, but those commercials never really give any info thats not a bunch of Hype. But, if you want true reviews you should follow that link to a site that gives comparisons between the major brands.

Well, if that’s your thing anyhow.

;)

Strange Mattress Contest

While this is not my cup of tea, the mattress chucking contest held by Trent Bedding does seem to be a good natured event. I was actually a bit impressed by just how far that woman threw the mattress. But, let’s be honest, she “ain’t chuckin” a pillow top or anything. Sorry the the backwoods “chuckin” btw, I have a tendency to blurt out that type of language when I see a backwoods style event.

Just one more reason to get a futon!

For those of you out there that are into football (you know who you are), here’s another reason to get a comfy futon. That reason is football season! There’s no need to be holed up on a sofa or futon that doesn’t cut it, you and your guests should be comfortable while the games on. right?

But, maybe the experience can get a little deeper with the WaiverWire Beta site now up. WaiverWire is a fully interactive football fan site, it offers forums, fantasy football teams, stats, news, plus some sort of Guru feature. Not too sure what that is. Now, all you football junkies with a computer can get your fix whenever and wherever you have internet access. Just try not to get caught at work :) Waiverwire.com Beta also gives you real time Game Day Scores!

As for the other site features, the design is nice. It definitely read’s like a sports site should. WaiverWire is easy to navigate and find just what you’re looking for. The only feature I wasn’t to keen on was the ticker in the middle of the page, the text moved a bit faster than I liked.

If you’re into football, you should give WaiverWire a browse, I think you’ll enjoy it.
